Located 16km before Kunak town, Madai Cave is famous for edible bird’s nest which have traditionally been harvested by the Idahan people here.

Ratings: *** More “real” than the Gomantong Caves. Here, you will be walking on guano!

Lost Ratings: *** Definitely less visited by tourists than the Gomantong Caves.

Entrance fees:

At the moment, there are no entrance fees, but a collection gate is under construction. Guides have to be hired to go into the caves for safety purpose (and to make sure you are not here to steal the nests!). Ask at the entrance to the cave.
